The Woodland Trust is looking for an Assistant Marketing Communications Manager - Tree Product Development who will be responsible for the development and lifecycle management of the Woodland Trust's commercial tree products, including new product creation and optimisation of existing lines.

The Role:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of tree products in the Woodland Trust shop, including stock control, supplier coordination, and enquiry support.
  • Plan and deliver integrated, insight-driven marketing campaigns to grow income and reach key audiences, aligning with broader Trust objectives.
  • Support tree planting targets through customer education and product alignment with woodland creation guidance and environmental best practices.
  • Drive income and supporter growth by increasing product profitability and identifying opportunities for process and customer experience improvements.
  • Build strong internal and external relationships, ensuring brand consistency, effective collaboration with agencies, and alignment with strategic priorities.

This is an 8-month fixed term contract. This role includes a mix of working from home and at our main office in Grantham, Lincolnshire. Visits to Grantham would be required no more than once a month on average.

The Candidate:

  • Proven experience in product development and multichannel marketing communications, including digital, direct, and social, within an agency or in-house environment.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence across teams to drive effective outcomes.
  • Commercial mindset with experience in budget management, data analysis, and planning to improve performance and profitability.
  • Comfortable working with retail web platforms, suppliers, and agencies to deliver high-quality customer experiences.
  • Relevant qualification in Marketing, Retail, or Business, and a full UK driving licence.
