Woodland Partners are currently working with this global Insurer who are going through a major re-organisation. As part of these changes they are looking to hire a Senior Planning & Data Analyst initially on a long term contract reporting into their Head of Finance. This role will focus on the preparation and analysis of monthly management packs, quarterly GAAP and forecasts and Finance papers reported to the Board.
Specific Responsibilities include:
• Assisting the Head of Finance with Finance and process focussed Projects alongside the rest of the finance team. For example, systems integration and implementation of new finance tools.
• Review and enhance financial processes, improve accuracy, and reduce manual intervention.
• Prepare monthly management accounts including premium, claims and reinsurance data to provide accurate and timely management information to senior management.
• Prepare quarterly finance packs for the Board and variance analysis to provide insights into business performance and trends.
To be considered the ideal candidate will be available at short notice and have the following skillset:
• Strong insurance accounting foundation with proven experience (3+ years PQE) in Data manipulation and Financial Planning within the insurance industry essential.
• Track record of delivering insightful analysis for senior leadership or Board-level decision making.
• Experience working with stakeholders across the business including Actuarial, Claims and Underwriting departments.
Ideally you will have a strong finance background alongside excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations.
With the changes that are ongoing there is a very strong possibility of this role becoming permanent.
