Woodland Partners are working exclusively with this high profile global Insurance group on the search for a new Regulatory Reporting Accountant. The role is a backfill whilst the incumbent moves into a project role internally. The position will prepare statutory financial statements across multiple entities and manage day-to-day liaison with external auditors. The role is being offered as a 12 month FTC iniitally and as such an immediate start is preferable.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Take ownership of finalising monthly and quarterly trial balances for multiple entities, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Review cash journals, bank reconciliations and reconcile other balance sheet accounts, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Support compliance with internal policies and procedures, helping to ensure regulatory and statutory requirements are consistently met.

Skills & Qualifications required:

  • Ability to resolve problems independently whilst paying attention to detail. Understand underlying finance structures and processes
  • Insurance experience (Lloyd’s and company desirable)
  • Experience using Oracle is desirable.
  • Strong insurance accounting experience is essential.
  • Minimum of two years experience in an insurance accounting role.
  • Proven experience preparing statutory accounts is essential.

Ideally you will be a qualified accountant with a minimum of 2 years relevant Insurance accounting experience. It is essential that you are able to start quickly.
