About the job
- Tipping and Loading Vehicles
- Safely operate a forklift to tip and load vehicles in a timely manner, following all safety protocols and adhering to delivery schedules.
- Ensure proper placement and securing of goods to prevent damage during transportation.
- Stock Transfers
- Execute stock transfers accurately and efficiently, maintaining inventory records and tracking the movement of goods within the warehouse.
- Quality Control
- Perform routine checks on received goods and materials, ensuring they meet quality standards and reporting any discrepancies or issues to the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the warehouse, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
- Stock Accuracy and Cycle Counts
- Conduct regular cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy and report any discrepancies to the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Collaborate with the inventory team to resolve any stock discrepancies and maintain accurate records.
- Putaways and Picking
- Safely and efficiently store incoming goods in the appropriate locations within the warehouse.
- Pick goods for outgoing orders, ensuring accuracy and efficiency, while following established SOPs.
- Adherence to SOPs
- Follow all SOPs related to warehouse operations and forklift driving, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Supporting Supervisor and General Manager
- Assist the Warehouse Supervisor and General Manager in any ad hoc tasks, such as reporting, training, and process improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with other team members to promote a positive and efficient work environment.
About you
- It is essential you have an in-date counterbalance licence from an external provider.
- Previous experience in warehouse operations and forklift driving
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems and inventory control software
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects, as well as stand and walk for extended periods of time.
