Woodland Group are recruiting a Warehouse Administrator for our team at the iPort in Doncaster. The Warehouse Administrator is responsible for managing and overseeing the administrative aspects of our warehouse operations. Your duties will include dealing directly with drivers, coordinating bookings, handling paperwork, assigning bays, and ensuring the accuracy of delivery notes. Additionally, you will be responsible for document control, raising Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and providing support to the Stock & Planning Manager. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Warehouse Supervisors and Forklift Drivers to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Monday to Friday 10am-6pm.
About the job:
- Driver Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for drivers, addressing inquiries and providing clear instructions to ensure efficient operations. Manage bookings for incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring proper scheduling and communication with all relevant parties. Using the office phone to answer calls and direct to correct departments.
- Documentation and Paperwork: Print, organize, and file all necessary paperwork related to warehouse operations, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Maintain and update records to support efficient warehouse processes and accurate inventory tracking.
- Bay Assignments: Assign bays to drivers according to the operational schedule, ensuring efficient use of warehouse space and minimizing delays.
- Delivery Note Accuracy: Verify and issue accurate delivery notes to drivers, ensuring all relevant information is included and properly documented.
- Document Control: Manage and control all warehouse-related documents, ensuring compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Raising NCRs: Identify and report non-conformances in warehouse operations, raising NCRs as needed to address and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Reporting to Stock & Planning Manager: Provide regular updates and reports to the Stock & Planning Manager, highlighting key metrics, operational challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaboration with Warehouse Team: Work closely with Warehouse Supervisors and Forklift Drivers to ensure smooth operations and open lines of communication. Participate in team meetings, providing input and suggestions to improve warehouse efficiency and productivity.

- Prior experience in warehouse administration or a related field.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with warehouse management systems and inventory control software.
