Woodland Global is currently recruiting a confident fully-qualified Senior Management Accountant for our Head Office in Chelmsford. The Senior Management Accountant will report to the Global Financial Controller and be an integral part of the Finance team, supporting the smooth operation of the financial reporting for the global business and requires interaction with both external and internal stakeholders within the Woodland Global division.

Monday to Friday Hybrid - 3 days in 2 from home 9-5.30.

About the role:

  • VAT & Duty Reconciliations for WGB – By mid‑month
  • Oversee preparation, investigation, and resolution of Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Management of accruals and prepayments
  • Oversee and provide cover for Fixed Assets – Maintenance of schedules, disposals, and depreciation postings
  • IFRS16 accounting
  • Assistance in month‑end closure
  • Department and cost centre analysis
  • Budget and forecast preparation and business partnering
  • Ad hoc Month‑end journals
  • Providing profit and loss reporting and analysis
  • Assisting with month and year‑end closure and audit
  • Contribute to ONS completion / review
  • Building and maintaining external and internal relationships
  • Ad hoc reporting
  • Cash Flow forecast and Treasury cover
  • Closing cash books
  • Oversee work of AMA
  • Any other duties as required by management for the smooth and efficient operation of the department.
  • Production of Statutory Accounts

Group responsibilities:

  • Assist with Tax pack completion for all Group entities
  • Assist with Group wide tax computation / Estimate
  • Assist with Reconciliation of Tax payment estimation
  • Assist with Statutory account preparation for other group companies
  • Key point of liaison with auditors

Personal specification:

  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Closing month end
  • Knowledge of statutory accounts
