Machine Operators – Permanent Roles

Hourly Rate: Based on experience. Structured pay scale in place with the opportunity to move up the pay bands as experience is gained within the Company.

Working Hours: Possible 2 week rotation to include 15% shift allowance.

About The Role

Key responsibilities:

  • Operation of CNC machinery (fully automated edge banding production line) including inspections and quality checks.
  • Selecting pre-optimised programmes to suit all board types.
  • Selecting multiple thickness of edge tape.
  • Responsible for machine performance.
  • Following pre-scheduled workload and meet deadlines.
  • Loading and offloading the machine.
  • Cutting MFC and MDF product.
  • Cleaning and inspection of finished product and maintaining appropriate records.

Required Criteria

  • CNC Machine Experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience working within a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to understand instructions, job sheets, blueprints, drawings and diagrams.
  • Experience in total machine maintenance.
  • Ability to change tools.
  • Self adjustment of programmes.
  • Ability to complete required forms and paperwork.
  • Ability to perform tasks within health and safety guidelines.
  • Able to multi-task and work in a dynamic environment/adjust to change quickly.
  • Ability to work in a fast environment.
  • Working in a team with ability to use own initiative.
  • Ability to complete own quality checks.

Desired Criteria

  • Engineering experience of HOMAG machinery.
  • Awareness of mechanical engineering principles.
  • Previous experience of kitchen manufacturing.
  • Basic computer programming skills.
