Our Client is seeking two Marine Designers for an initial 6-month contract role that has an immediate start.
EXPERIENCE:
- Marine and Structural Designer with a formal qualification or on-job training
- Minimum experience of 10 years
- Ability to manage a team of designers working remotely
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in identifying priorities and be agile in addressing emerging urgent issues as they arise
- Ability to work both independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment
- Ability to work in an office-based role
- Proficient in the use of Aveva Marine and be able to provide advice/guidance to junior designers
- Competence in the use of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
JOB SCOPE:
As a Senior Designer, you will support the Marine Team, liaise with other disciplines, and work with clients and vendors. Coordinating and working with project team members across global offices to deliver the tasks within allotted timelines and budgets.
Responsibilities will include:
- Creation of project specific job notes, guides and training material to support consistent deliverables
- Organizing schedules and resources within the team to achieve required deliverables to project deadlines
- Breaking project tasks down to drawing level and estimating resources required to complete milestones
DURATION: 6 months initially
LOCATION: The role will be based on 3 days a week in our Client’s Offices in Surrey with hybrid working of two days remote.
RATE: £52.00 per hour Ltd co rate
If the role is likely to be outside of IR35 the final decision will only be made after a QDOS assessment.
