Park Holidays UK is one of the largest providers of holiday parks in England, Scotland, and Wales. We are seeking a motivated and hands‑on Trainee Arcade Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a keen interest in arcade machines and maintenance who is looking to start a career in the arcade engineering field. You will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the smooth operation of arcade machines across our parks.

Job Duties:

  • Perform general maintenance and repairs on all arcade equipment to meet operational standards, ensuring machines are fully functional and safe for guest enjoyment.
  • Carry out on‑site repairs as directed by the Head of Arcades, addressing any machine malfunctions or breakdowns.
  • Ensure all safety protocols are adhered to, including wearing the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as protective clothing and safety boots, where necessary.
  • Maintain stock levels for arcade machines, including ordering parts and prize stock as needed. Request additional stock when necessary to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensure all machines are merchandised to the required specifications.
  • Manage deliveries for the Arcades Department and distribute them to the appropriate areas within the park.
  • Provide regular updates on the ticketing system on the status of repairs & stock levels.
  • Ensure all machines are clean and presentable.

Requirements:

  • An understanding of technical repairs is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with the team and report issues effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Professional and approachable with a customer‑focused mindset.
  • Self‑motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet the demands of the role.
  • A full UK driving license is required to perform this role, as travel between parks will be necessary.
