Resort Laundry Attendants are responsible for regularly washing, stain treating, sorting, and folding linen provided in the resort’s rental cottages.
Job Duties
- Washes all linens and stain treats to ensure the cleanliness of linens is up to Sun’s standards.
- Loads washers to coincide with cycle rotations.
- Takes wet, clean items and loads into dryers.
- Sorts and folds clean linens and ensures linens stay organized.
- Maintains inventory of all detergent supplies and communicates needs to management.
- Follows all established safety procedures and precautions. Reports all unsafe or hazardous conditions, incidents, accidents, and/or defective equipment to their manager.
- Maintains washers and dryers by wiping surfaces, removing lint, etc. Ensures the facility remains clean and free from safety hazards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- 6 months in experience working in a laundry facility (Preferred)
- Demonstrated knowledge of general laundry procedures
- Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance
- Knowledge of safety measures when using various laundry and cleaning chemicals
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds
- Basic computer proficiency including the ability to use email and internet
