Overview
As an Assistant Maintenance Manager, you will work closely with our experienced Maintenance Manager, learning the skills needed to eventually lead your own team.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in maintenance operations within a caravan holiday park who is eager to advance their career.
- Job Duties
- Organise and carry out repairs across the park, including venues, chalets, caravans, drains, groundwork, and buildings, ensuring all tasks meet the agreed operating standards.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on equipment within accommodation units and caravans, responding to job requests promptly and efficiently.
- Assist in the delivery of gas bottles, distribution of deliveries to relevant departments, and collection of rubbish, including litter picking around the park.
- Support the moving and siting of caravans and lodges, working closely with the Holiday Sales Department to ensure excellence in standards and service.
- Assist in the preparation and planning of the maintenance program to maintain public and staff areas, accommodation, bars, and entertainment venues in line with current legislation and company standards.
- Help manage and prepare accommodation and facilities for both Open and Closed Season programs, ensuring they meet the agreed standards.
- Work as part of a cohesive Management Team, providing support to other departments as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the park.
- Ensure compliance with all company and legal policies and procedures, particularly in Health & Safety monitoring and control.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Operative or Maintenance Team Leader is essential.
- Experience in maintenance operations within a caravan holiday park is required.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage team members and interact professionally with guests.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- This role is subject to a Basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
