Part‑time Chef required – would suit someone wanting extra hours if they are already in employment, we could offer 12, 16 or 20 hours or even more if they wish. We are extremely flexible.

Job Summary

Park Holidays UK is seeking a talented, motivated and passionate Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Chef, you will play a key role in preparing high‑quality meals that meet our guests' expectations while adhering to food safety standards. This role requires culinary expertise, creativity, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.

Job Duties

  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to the menu and organisational standards, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
  • Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations, ensuring proper handling, storage, and preparation of all ingredients.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop and refine menu items, incorporating seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
  • Ensure that all dishes leaving the kitchen meet the highest standards of quality, both in terms of taste and presentation.
  • Work closely with other kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to kitchen assistants and other team members.
  • Assist in managing kitchen inventory, including ordering supplies, checking deliveries, and ensuring proper stock rotation.
  • Monitor food costs and minimise waste through efficient use of ingredients and careful portion control.
  • Consider customer feedback and adjust recipes or presentation as needed to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Oversee the organization and cleanliness of the kitchen area, ensuring all workstations are clean and well‑stocked.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  • Ability to create and present dishes to a high standard.
  • In‑depth understanding of food safety practices and procedures, including HACCP and other relevant regulations.
  • High level of attention to detail, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish prepared.
