A leading London neighbourly matters consultancy is looking to grow its Party Wall team due to sustained project demand and planned expansion. This is a role offering genuine responsibility, exposure to complex projects and clear progression for those who want it.

The Role

You will work across a technically interesting portfolio of both residential and commercial instructions, taking matters from the very outset. Your involvement will span the full lifecycle from initial instruction and schedules of condition through to agreement and award. The team operates across both Building Owner and Adjoining Owner appointments. Senior members of the firm are regularly appointed as third / named surveyors, and if progressing towards this type of work is an ambition of yours, you will be supported and encouraged to do so. You will also have junior staff working alongside you, giving you the opportunity to take responsibility for mentoring, training, and developing others as part of your day-to-day work.

Who They Are Looking For

The firm is open to individuals from Surveyor through to Associate level, depending on experience. Your background must include Party Wall Surveying, but this can come from:

  • A dedicated Party Wall position within a specialist practice, or
  • A Building Surveying background where Party Wall work has been a key specialism, and you are now looking to focus on this area within a leading consultancy.

Ideally, you will be a member of the Faculty of Party Wall Surveyors or Pyramus & Thisbe. If not, you will be supported with the network, mentoring, and exposure needed to work towards this membership.

Career Progression

Progression is based purely on performance and results - not time served. If you are ambitious and motivated to progress, the pathway is there without unnecessary delay. Strong performers move forward naturally in this environment.

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary up to £75k DOE
  • Bonus
  • Comprehensive benefits package including private healthcare and generous annual leave
  • City based office
  • Flexible working - typically 23 days per week in the office once established (slightly more initially while you get up to speed)

The Party Wall market is currently exceptionally busy. I am working with five firms, all looking to grow their teams. If this opportunity isn't quite right for you, please still get in touch as there are several others available at different levels.
