About the role
I'm currently working with a large residential property management group who are looking to add a Regional Director, MRICS Building Surveyor to their in‑house Building Surveying team. This team is a stand‑alone company and will take on external client work too, but the majority comes from the companies in the group.
Responsibilities
- Manage a Midlands / North based team delivering consultancy services across residential and commercial portfolios.
- Act as Project Manager and Contract Administrator on projects typically ranging from £50k to £3m+.
- Provide authoritative advice on building defects and construction issues.
- Prepare Planned Preventative Maintenance and lifecycle reports.
- Undertake reinstatement cost assessments and condition surveys.
- Act as Principal Designer under CDM Regulations.
- Oversee major works and remediation projects.
- Prepare Schedules of Dilapidations and negotiate claims.
Work environment
