Are you an experienced Project Manager or Employers Agent looking to take a leading role on a major regeneration scheme? A well-established multidisciplinary construction consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Project Manager / Employers Agent to join their growing team. Based from their South East London office, you will initially focus on a significant, long-term regeneration project in South London, giving you the opportunity to play a key role in a development that will have a lasting impact on the local area.
The Role
From day one, you will work closely with the senior leadership team and have direct exposure to the client. This is a highly client-facing role, so strong communication, relationship building and stakeholder management skills will be essential. You will be trusted to run projects with a high level of autonomy, taking responsibility from inception through to completion. Initially, your focus will be on one major regeneration scheme involving:
- Full demolition and regeneration
- Delivery of 300+ new homes
- An education facility
- A community centre
- Green and play areas
- Walking routes
- Public transport hubs
The project has years of work ahead, providing the successful candidate with the opportunity to become a key part of the delivery team and take real ownership of the scheme. Over time, there may also be opportunities to support on other projects across residential and education sectors.
What We're Looking For
This role would suit someone with several years of consultancy experience working as a Project Manager and/or Employers Agent. You will ideally have:
- Strong knowledge and experience of JCT contracts
- Experience running projects independently and with autonomy
- The ability to manage schemes from inception through to completion
- Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive approach and the confidence to take ownership of your work
- Previous consultancy experience within Project Management and/or Employers Agent work
- MRICS is not essential, although it would certainly be beneficial. For those currently working towards chartership, full APC support is available.
