A growing multidisciplinary consultancy in London is looking to appoint a Newly Qualified MRICS Building Surveyor or someone with up to 18 months PQE into their expanding Building Surveying team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recently chartered surveyor to join a business experiencing sustained growth, winning a significant volume of new instructions from an enviable portfolio of blue-chip, household name clients across the commercial property sector.
The Role
The team has a strong commercial project focus, delivering work across:
- Offices
- Retail
- Industrial
- Mixed-use schemes
- High-end residential elements within wider developments
Projects are typically high quality, varied and professionally rewarding, offering exposure to prestigious assets and clients.
Your core workload will include:
- Dilapidations
- Technical Due Diligence
- Pre-Acquisition Surveys
- Reinstatement Cost Assessments
- Contract Administration
With the volume of new work being secured, there will be opportunities over time to diversify your workload and broaden your technical exposure.
Working Environment
This consultancy places genuine trust in its surveyors. You will be given real autonomy to manage your diary, projects and approach to work without micro management. Support, guidance and senior input are always available when needed, but as long as the work is delivered to a high standard, you will be trusted to operate in a way that suits you. The team is based from a newly extended office in Waterloo, designed to accommodate continued growth. The space offers excellent natural light, modern facilities and a professional but relaxed working atmosphere. Hybrid working operates as 3 days in the office and 2 from home, aligned to client and team needs. There may be a slightly higher office presence initially and around key meetings, but this is managed flexibly across neighbouring weeks.
Career Progression
Progression is clear, structured and genuinely achievable. Senior Building Surveyor is the natural next step, typically within 12-18 months of joining. Associate level to follows, with clear guidance on how to get there. Promotion is based on merit and contribution, not simply time served. There is no ceiling to progression for those who want it. An important part of the role will also involve mentoring junior surveyors, supporting them across projects and through their APC journey. Developing staff is a core part of the business plan and culture.

Salary up to Β£65k, Bonus, Comprehensive benefits package including enhanced pension, 25 days Annual leave + Bank Holidays.
