An opportunity has arisen with a well-established multidisciplinary property and construction consultancy undergoing a period of strategic regional expansion. Having built a strong reputation and delivery track record across London and the South East, the business is now successfully extending its reach into the wider Oxford/Cambridge Arc and surrounding regions. This appointment forms part of a key growth phase linked to a significant uplift in secured workload across a new geographical area.
The organisation is seeking either a project-focused Building Surveyor or an experienced Employers Agent, with a clear emphasis on delivering within the social and affordable housing sector, primarily through new build framework agreements. This is a role suited to someone who enjoys both delivery responsibility and the opportunity to influence how services are shaped in a developing regional market.
The successful candidate will be responsible for a broad and varied workload including:
- Employers Agent duties on new build social and affordable housing schemes
- Project led building surveying across all key stages (pre and post contract)
- Framework based delivery for housing associations and registered providers
- Full client facing responsibility from early stages through to completion
- Coordination with internal multidisciplinary teams for technical and commercial input
A key feature of the role is the level of autonomy and trust, with scope to operate independently while supported by a wider established London-based team.

- Opportunity to join a business expanding beyond its established London base
- Significant autonomy in delivery and client management
- Genuine scope to contribute to the development of a new regional presence
- Opportunity to help shape and grow an office, team and service line over time
- Access to a strong multidisciplinary platform for support when required
- Established pipeline of secured social and affordable housing framework work
The Bigger Picture
This position sits within a wider strategic expansion programme, with the business leveraging its success in established markets to grow into new regions. The successful individual will play a key role in building presence, strengthening client relationships and helping to establish long term regional capability. This is a chance to be part of a growth story rather than simply joining an established structure.
Package
Salary up to £90k (dependent on experience) Comprehensive benefits package including:
- Pension scheme
- Enhanced annual leave
- Performance related bonus
- Additional benefits aligned with senior level appointments
Candidate Profile
- MRICS qualified Building Surveyor
