A rare opportunity to take ownership of a specialist function and shape its future within a highly respected, multi-disciplinary property consultancy. The business is well established across Building Consultancy, Project Management and Cost Consultancy. RCAs are now a clear strategic priority for growth, with investment, visibility and support from senior leadership already in place. This role offers the chance to lead that expansion, build capability, and influence how the service evolves across sectors.
The Role
You will head up the RCA function, delivering projects from inception to completion while developing the service line into new markets. Initial workload will be predominantly Residential, with a defined plan and full backing to expand further into Commercial work supported by established teams already active in these sectors. Alongside leading the department, you will have the flexibility to remain hands-on with broader Building Surveying work if desired. This can include Contract Administration, Specifications, Defects Analysis, Dilapidations, Technical Due Diligence and more. The firm is genuinely flexible in shaping the role around the right individual.
What They’re Looking For
- Ideally MRICS qualified; significant, relevant experience will be considered
- Strong background delivering RCAs within a consultancy or client-side environment
- Proven experience managing projects end to end
- Comfortable mentoring, developing and supporting junior team members
- Someone keen to take ownership of a growing service line and broaden its sector reach
Why This Role Stands Out
This is not simply a department lead position. It is a platform to influence how a key service area grows within a successful consultancy. Career progression is not limited by title here; there is scope to move into wider operational management, overseeing multiple departments, and in the long term, the potential for an equity stake in the business.
Salary & Package
- Salary up to £90k DOE (flexible depending on what you bring)
- Bonus scheme
- Enhanced annual leave
- Private medical cover
- Comprehensive benefits package
- + More
Location & Working Pattern
Based in a West End office, the team typically works from the office two days per week. There is flexibility to be in more frequently if preferred, and the business supports hybrid working arrangements.
