A highly regarded specialist consultancy, recognised for its expertise in rights of light, daylight & sunlight, planning, and neighbourly matters, is looking to appoint an experienced Surveyor through to Associate Director to join its well established London team. This is a standout opportunity to work alongside leading experts in the field, advising high profile clients on some of London's most complex and high value development projects.
The Role
In this position, you will play a key role in delivering strategic rights of light advice across a diverse portfolio of developments. Responsibilities will include:
- Advising developers, architects, landowners and other stakeholders on rights of light strategy, risk management and mitigation solutions.
- Producing detailed technical assessments and reports to support planning applications and project delivery.
- Managing multiple projects across commercial, residential and mixed use schemes, from early feasibility through to completion.
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships, with active involvement in business development and repeat work generation.
- Supporting, mentoring and guiding junior team members, while contributing to the continued growth and success of the wider team.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Proven, demonstrable experience in rights of light.
- Strong technical capability, combined with sound commercial awareness and a pragmatic, solutions focused approach.
- Excellent communication skills, with confidence in client facing roles and negotiations.
