A leading multidisciplinary property consultancy is seeking a recognised industry expert in Rights of Light, Daylight and Sunlight to join at Partner level. This is a rare opportunity to step into a well established, respected consultancy with an existing Rights of Light capability and a clear ambition to expand the service line as part of wider company growth plans. This is not a start up function or a speculative hire. The team is already established, active and well supported. The appointment is designed to elevate and grow what is already in place.

This role is suited to a highly experienced consultancy professional with deep technical expertise across Rights of Light, Daylight and Sunlight, combined with strong commercial awareness and an ability to win and develop business. A strong industry network and contact base will be essential, as business generation will form a central part of the role.

The company recognises that any senior move at this level may come with short term restrictions when leaving another practice. This is understood and accommodated, with sufficient existing workload and internal opportunities to ensure a smooth transition while you rebuild and activate your network.

You will join a firm where cross selling between service lines is actively encouraged and supported. Colleagues across planning, development, valuation, building consultancy and other disciplines provide a natural source of work, offering an immediate platform to win instructions through internal relationships as well as your own contacts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver complex Rights of Light, Daylight and Sunlight consultancy instructions
  • Drive business development and secure new instructions through your professional network
  • Work collaboratively across the wider business to generate cross discipline opportunities
  • Provide strategic input into the growth and direction of the Rights of Light service line
  • Mentor and support existing junior surveyors and CAD technicians
  • Recruit and build a larger team around you as workload grows
  • Act as a senior figurehead for the discipline both internally and externally
What the Company Offers
  • A strong reputation in the property consultancy market for client delivery
  • Staff retention levels above market average, reflecting a supportive and well managed culture
  • Significant autonomy in your role, with no micromanagement and senior peers available as a sounding board when needed
  • Existing CAD and junior surveying support from day one
  • The opportunity to recruit and shape your own team as the function expands
  • A collaborative, one team approach where cross selling is encouraged
  • A genuine platform to further build your personal brand and industry profile

Salary up to £125k + Bonus + Package (DOE) - Potential flexibility for exceptional candidates. This is an opportunity for an established Rights of Light professional to step into a leadership position within a thriving consultancy, with the autonomy, support and platform to grow both a team and a personal profile in the market.
