A leading specialist consultancy in neighbourly matters is looking to appoint a Party Wall Surveyor to join its growing London team. Due to a sustained increase in workload across major central London schemes, this is a growth hire rather than a replacement.
This opportunity is open to candidates from Assistant Surveyor through to Senior Surveyor level, offering flexibility based on experience and a clear platform for long term career progression within a specialist environment.
The role is city based, with access to a modern office space when required, alongside a hybrid working arrangement of 23 days in the office and 23 days working from home.
The Role
You will be involved in both Building Owner and Adjoining Owner matters across a broad range of commercial and residential projects. From the outset, you will work alongside colleagues who are acting as the named surveyor, with a clear pathway to develop into that position yourself as your experience grows. Projects are typically complex, central London schemes, and you will be involved from inception through to completion. As you develop within the role, your workload and client exposure will naturally increase.
Over time, there are two distinct progression routes available:
- A commercially focused pathway, combining surveying with client engagement, business development and networking
- A delivery focused pathway, leading a small team, managing a significant workload and mentoring junior staff
Both routes involve supporting and developing more junior surveyors as part of the wider team structure.
About You
You will have Party Wall experience, either:
- Currently working as a Party Wall Surveyor, or
- A Building Surveyor who has undertaken elements of Party Wall work and is keen to specialise
You will be looking for an environment where you can deepen your expertise, gain exposure to high value projects, and work towards becoming a named surveyor in your own right.
Development & Progression
The consultancy places a strong emphasis on progression and professional development. Current employees can demonstrate that promotion and development are genuinely achievable, with examples of progression taking place as recently as earlier this year. You will be supported in working towards professional accreditation, whether through the Faculty of Party Wall Surveyors or Pyramus & Thisbe.
Package
£50k - £85k depending on experience, strong bonus structure, comprehensive benefits package, hybrid working, modern city office environment.
