A leading specialist Neighbourly Matters consultancy is looking to appoint a Graduate or Assistant Neighbourly Matters Surveyor to join its growing London team. This opportunity would suit a recent graduate or someone with around 12 months experience in Party Wall or Rights of Light who is looking to gain broad exposure across Neighbourly Matters while working on some of the most prominent development projects in the industry.

The position provides exposure across Party Wall, Daylight/Sunlight and Rights of Light, ensuring a well-rounded technical foundation as you develop. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting on and managing instructions across Party Wall, Daylight/Sunlight and Rights of Light
  • Undertaking site visits and inspections
  • Writing technical reports and assessments
  • Completing schedules of condition
  • Liaising with clients, architects, developers and legal teams
  • Attending meetings and dealing with adjoining owners and other appointed surveyors
  • Supporting senior surveyors on complex and high profile schemes

You will have the opportunity to work on leading industry projects, gaining exposure to a wide variety of developments and client types.

What We're Looking For:

  • A graduate with an RICS accredited degree in Building Surveying or Real Estate (candidates from a legal background have also been successful in this field)
  • Alternatively, someone with circa 12 months experience in Party Wall or Rights of Light
  • A basic understanding of Neighbourly Matters, or a strong interest in developing within this area
  • Driven, committed and eager to learn
  • Someone looking to build a long term career within property and construction

Full training and ongoing support will be provided. There is also now a pathway to Chartership in Rights of Light so there will be a chance to do your APC.
