A progressive and growing building consultancy is seeking a Chartered or Senior Building Surveyor to join its highly regarded team. Ongoing organic growth has created an opportunity to work across a broad range of professional and project instructions, with genuine scope to shape your longer-term career path.

You will have the flexibility to be based from either a Central London or South London office, both with excellent commuter links. Hybrid working is standard, with two days per week in the office.

The Role

Your initial project workload will have a strong residential focus, working with both public and private sector clients across new build and refurbishment schemes. Duties will include:

  • Contract Administration
  • Defect analysis and reporting
  • Writing specifications
  • Employers Agent duties
  • Opportunity to undertake fire safety related work, if of interest

As you develop within the business, there is clear opportunity to broaden your sector exposure into commercial projects, which form a key part of the consultancy's future growth plans. This includes:

  • Commercial office fit-out and refurbishment
  • Industrial and retail units
  • Dilapidations
  • Technical Due Diligence
  • Project Management

This variety allows you to shape your own longer term specialism while building a genuinely diverse skillset.

About You

  • MRICS is essential (level flexible for the right candidate)
  • Chartered Building Surveyor or an experienced Senior Surveyor ready to step up
  • Comfortable delivering both professional and project instructions
  • Ambitious, keen to progress and take on wider responsibility over time
