An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Building Surveyor to join a well established and growing independent property and construction consultancy based in South East London.

The business is a close knit team of around 30 people, offering a supportive and collaborative environment without the bureaucracy often associated with larger corporate firms.

With a strong pipeline of work and ambitious plans for continued growth, this is an excellent time to join and become part of the company's long term future.

The Role The successful candidate will work across a varied and interesting workload, with projects primarily within the Residential and Education sectors.

Much of the current workload sits within the public sector, although the business also works across a range of private sector instructions.

Your responsibilities are likely to include: Condition Surveys Contract Administration Defect Analysis Specifications Employer's Agent services Project Management A broad range of additional Building Surveying and project related work This is a genuinely varied role and would suit someone who wants to continue developing into a well rounded Building Surveyor rather than becoming restricted to one particular service line.

The Candidate The consultancy is open to candidates from Intermediate through to Senior level.

You will ideally have gained solid consultancy experience and be comfortable taking ownership of your work and managing instructions with a good degree of autonomy.

There will, however, be plenty of support available when needed, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to continue developing their technical knowledge and confidence.

The role will be particularly attractive to someone working towards MRICS status.

The company's APC support is a genuine strength.

They have a highly committed programme and are prepared to invest significant time and effort into helping the right candidate achieve Chartered status.

Their approach is straightforward: they will match the commitment and effort that you put into your own progression.

For someone who is serious about becoming Chartered, the support available is excellent.

Progression and Long Term Opportunity This is a business with significant plans for growth and a strong pipeline of work.

Promotion opportunities are available organically as the company continues to develop, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to join a firm for the long term and genuinely progress their career.

Working Arrangements The business operates a hybrid working arrangement of three days in the office and two days working from home.

There will be an expectation for new starters to spend more time in the office initially, allowing them to integrate with the team, build relationships and gain the support needed during the early stages.

The exact arrangement can be discussed during the interview process.

Importantly, this is not a rigid corporate environment.

The business understands that people have commitments outside of work and can be flexible around circumstances such as childcare, commuting and site visits.

Package Salary up to £65k, depending on experience Bonus company profit share Annual leave 27 days per annum + bank holidays Pension Paid professional memberships Excellent APC support and mentoring Genuine long term progression opportunities Hybrid and flexible working This is an excellent opportunity for a Building Surveyor who wants to join a growing, personable consultancy, work across a varied portfolio of projects and receive genuine support in progressing towards the next stage of their career.
