A well established and growing multi disciplinary property consultancy are looking for a Senior Building Surveyor to join its team covering projects across the northern Home Counties. With a strong and secure pipeline of public sector work, this role offers the opportunity to take ownership of schemes, manage client relationships and build a small team around you as workload continues to increase.
The Role
Operating from a North of London base (with flexibility on office location), you will deliver projects across Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire. The portfolio has a clear public sector focus, including:
- Social and affordable housing - new build and refurbishment
- Education sector projects
The workload offers a well rounded mix of professional and project work, including:
- Contract Administration
- Defect diagnosis and reporting
- Specification writing
- General Building Surveying
You will be responsible for managing projects independently, while also supporting and mentoring junior members of the team.
Requirements
- MRICS qualified ideally, although strong surveyors with relevant experience will be considered
- Proven consultancy background (essential), ideally with solid Contract Administration experience
- Demonstrable public sector project experience
- Comfortable managing a varied workload autonomously
- Capable of overseeing and developing junior colleagues
- Professional, client facing and commercially aware
Full APC support is available for those working towards chartership.
