A multidisciplinary consultancy, with building surveying at its core, is seeking an experienced Legal Disrepair professional to lead and grow their service line. With an ever increasing workload and extensive experience in social and affordable housing, this is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in peoples lives through the implementation of Awaabs Law.
About the Role: You will have the chance to either head up the Legal Disrepair department from day one or join at a slightly lower level with a clear path to leadership. Your role will be primarily focused on the delivery of high quality reports and the growth, mentorship and development of your team. You will also benefit from a dedicated business development support team, including bid writers, so you can concentrate on leading the service line and managing delivery rather than generating work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Legal Disrepair service line, shaping its strategy and growth.
- Review, sign off and ensure the highest quality of reports.
- Mentor and develop junior staff, building a motivated, skilled team around you.
- Collaborate with senior management to discuss workload, team needs and commercial performance.
- Focus on delivering excellence in Legal Disrepair work and implementing Awaabs Law, while the BD team supports client engagement and bids.
Who You Are:
- MRICS qualified essential for signing off reports.
- An expert in Legal Disrepair or a professional with strong knowledge and a desire to specialise.
- High quality literacy and report assessment skills.
- Experienced in motivating teams and driving performance.
- Commercially aware and capable of balancing team and business priorities.
