The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

The successful candidate will have a strategic mindset, be determined, enjoy working with people at all levels and have proven management and leadership skills or may be ready to step up to gain experience in managing people. Tact and diplomacy will be second nature and organisation skills second to none!

The role holder will ideally be CCAB qualified and be responsible for:

  • Delivering accurate and up to date reporting
  • Being a business partner to all other departments, assisting senior leadership to understand all financial information
  • Leading on policies, procedures and governance
  • Managing all inter departmental communications

Key Activities will include but not be limited to:

  • Ensuring that the business remains competitive through professional and controlled management of the costings and cash flow
  • Supporting the Directors in producing accurate month end reports and other financial reporting
  • Measuring FM performance as a separate business unit and ensuring fair inter-department charges
  • Overseeing and helping develop the finance team
  • Setting realistic timetables for month end and managing achievement of deadlines
  • Recording and developing finance procedures and policies
  • Developing and maintaining a risk register
  • Preparing business cases for company projects including profit analysis, cash flow impact/proposals
  • Supporting the MD in understanding job cost reports and trading reviews
  • Supporting MD in understanding job estimates and estimating processes
  • Reviewing, understanding and approving cost adjustment from the Commercial Director
  • Preparing management accounts and producing monthly financial reports
  • Explaining key monthly variances and helping the leadership team manage and control costs
  • Preparing annual budgets and updating forecasts on a monthly basis
  • Updating long term cash flow forecast
  • Being responsible for management accounts for FM
  • Preparing Board packs and developing in collaboration with MD and Commercial Director
  • Maintaining and developing monthly dashboard
  • Providing information to and liaising with auditors
  • Producing year end financial statements in association with auditors
  • Managing input of data into COINS CVR system to parallel run CVR reporting on trial
  • Assisting with development of financial reports from COINS
