Woodford specialise in mechanical and electrical building services for the construction market. Woodford also have a facilities maintenance sector. We are looking for an M&E Engineer who will be responsible for the technical performance and maintaining Woodford Group’s and industry standards, providing guidance to others on site and technical expertise in plumbing systems and building fabric components.
What will you deliver?
- Carrying out repairs and preventative maintenance to all building services, both mechanical and electrical systems as well as ad hoc maintenance duties.
- Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in commercial and residential structures.
- Install, repair and maintain electrical systems in commercial and domestic settings.
- Maintain accurate records of all preventative maintenance and repair work carried out and report any substandard or defective equipment.
- Ability to diagnose and complete first time fix on M&E equipment to a high standard.
- Perform scheduled maintenance service on building services systems (M&E).
- Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate codes & environmental standards.
- Escort specialist contractors and work beside them as required.
- Servicing and installation of different types of AC systems (i.e. Cassettes, Wall Mounts, Ducted systems, AHU & VRV’s, etc) and electrical systems (i.e. Schneider, ProLogic lighting etc).
- Diagnosing faults and carrying out recommended repairs.
- Carrying out a variation of tasks throughout the day in different areas.
- Ensuring work vehicle is kept clean and tidy at all times.
- Communication is key with our office team on a daily basis as and when required.
- Services across London and surrounding counties.
- Comprehensive and customer friendly reports on business job system.
Essential requirements
- Clean UK driving license.
- Happy to work on an out of hours call out rota (1 in 4 weeks a month).
- Gas Safe Registration.
- 18th Edition trained.
Desired but not required qualifications:
- A recognized apprenticeship and obtained Level 3 City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Engineering.
- Completed ACOP L8 in Legionella awareness.
- F-Gas Certification.
- Ability to perform tasks alone or in a team to a high standard without constant supervision.
- Computer literate in Microsoft office including Excel, Word.
- Experience of working within Facilities Management.
- Experience dealing with customers and suppliers.
