The predicted salary is between 48000 - 72000 £ per year.
The successful candidate will have a strategic mindset, be determined, enjoy working with people at all levels and have proven management and leadership skills or maybe ready to step up to gain experience in managing people. Tact and diplomacy will be second nature and organisation skills second to none!
The role holder will ideally be CCAB qualified and be responsible for delivering accurate and up to date reporting; a business partner to all other departments, assisting senior leadership to understand all financial information; a lead on policies, procedures and governance; and responsible for all inter departmental communications.
Key Activities will include but not be limited to:
- Ensure that the business remains competitive through professional and controlled management of the costings and cash flow.
- Support the Directors in producing accurate month end reports and other financial reporting.
- Measure FM performance as a separate business unit and ensure fair inter-department charges.
- Oversee and help develop the finance team.
- Set realistic timetables for month end and manage achievement of deadlines.
- Record and develop finance procedures and policies.
- Develop and maintain a risk register.
- Prepare business cases for company projects including profit analysis, cash flow impact/proposals.
- Support the MD in understanding job cost reports and trading reviews.
- Support MD in understanding job estimates and estimating processes.
- Review, understand and approve cost adjustment from the Commercial Director.
- Prepare management accounts and produce monthly financial reports.
- Explain key monthly variances and help leadership team manage and control costs.
- Prepare annual budgets and update forecast on a monthly basis.
- Update long term cash flow forecast.
- Responsible for management accounts for FM.
- Prepare Board packs and develop in collaboration with MD and Commercial Director.
- Maintain and develop monthly dashboard.
- Provide information to and liaise with auditors.
- Produce year end financial statements in association with auditors.
- Manage input of data into COINS CVR system to parallel run CVR reporting on trial.
- Assist with development of financial reports from COINS.
