The predicted salary is between 34660 - 36943 £ per year.
Working closely with teachers and the wider WEC team, you will support and lead high-quality learning across the provision.
This will include delivering planned learning activities and interventions, working with individuals and small groups, and leading learning for classes where appropriate.
You will help pupils overcome barriers to learning, develop their independence and achieve the best possible outcomes.
You will also contribute to assessment, provide feedback on pupil progress, adapt learning to individual needs and work collaboratively with teachers, teaching assistants and other professionals.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HLTA who wants to play a significant role in pupils' learning and development within a supportive specialist setting., We are looking for someone who is positive, resilient and genuinely passionate about helping young people with SEND succeed.
You will
- hold a recognised HLTA qualification/status;
- have experience of supporting children or young people in an educational setting;
- have a good understanding of SEND and barriers to learning;
- have strong literacy and numeracy skills;
- be confident leading learning with individuals, groups and classes;
- be able to adapt activities and resources to meet individual pupils' needs;
- have excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- build positive and professional relationships with pupils;
- work effectively and flexibly as part of a team; and
- have a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Previous experience within a specialist SEND setting would be advantageous.
Salary: Surrey Pay Grade S7, £34,660 - £36,943 FTE per annum, pro rata for part-time and term-time working.
Term time only | Permanent Working pattern: Part-time, with hours/days to be discussed.
Full-time may also be considered.
Woodfield School is looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team at Woodfield Education Centre (WEC).
WEC is Woodfield School's specialist satellite provision for secondary-aged pupils with learning and additional needs, including Moderate Learning Difficulties and co-occurring needs.
Our pupils benefit from a smaller, highly supportive specialist environment while developing the confidence, skills and independence they need to prepare for adulthood.
