At Wooden Hill Primary and Nursery School, we are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming school community. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with pupils and teachers, supporting children both in and out of the classroom. You will help create a positive learning environment where every child feels valued, supported and encouraged to achieve their very best.

What You Will Do As A Learning Support Assistant

  • Support the teacher in monitoring, assessing and recording pupil progress/activities
  • Support learning by arranging/providing resources for lessons/activities under the direction of the teacher
  • Understand and support independent learning and inclusion of all pupils
  • Support pupils in developing and implementing their own personal and social development

We Are Looking For Someone Who

  • A good relevant education to GCSE Level or equivalent
  • Previous experience of working with children in an educational setting
  • Commitment to working within the School’s Safeguarding Policy and Procedures
  • Have a willingness to extend skills through appropriate training
  • High levels of professional integrity, energy and enthusiasm
  • An ability to quickly adapt to changes
