In addition to our 9 core publications, we host major international exhibitions and conferences, including upcoming flagship events in Brussels and Singapore.

Position Overview

We are looking for a commercially minded, energetic Marketing & Events Manager to lead the marketing strategy and campaign execution across our 9 publications and two international events. This role is open to both experienced candidates and recent graduates with the right skill set and academic background. You will take full ownership of organic social media management, targeted e-blasts, copywriting, event visitor/delegate acquisition, media partnerships, event management (liaising with venue, sponsors/exhibitors, and attendees) and provide crucial on-site support at our events in Brussels and Singapore.

Key Responsibilities

International Events Marketing (Brussels & Singapore)

  • Develop and execute comprehensive, data-driven organic marketing strategies to drive visitor, delegate, and exhibitor acquisition for our major events in Brussels and Singapore.
  • Identify, establish, and cultivate strategic media partnerships with leading industry associations, trade bodies, and global publications to maximise brand awareness and reach.
  • Write, design, and dispatch targeted e-blasts and promotional email campaigns, continuously optimising open and click-through performance.
  • Manage and execute organic social media campaigns across platforms such as LinkedIn and X – writing engaging copy, creating visual assets, scheduling posts, and building active online community engagement.
  • Oversee website content updates, user journeys, registration funnels, and marketing collateral (including sales brochures, guides, and promotional packs).
  • Provide hands-on on-site support during the events in Brussels and Singapore, assisting with live social media coverage, delegate registration, and general event operations.

Publications Portfolio Marketing (9 B2B Titles)

  • Lead the overarching marketing strategy across our 9 publication titles to boost readership, subscriber acquisition, digital traffic, and advertising value.
  • Plan, write, and execute targeted e-shots to our international database of industry professionals.
  • Write compelling promotional copy specifically tailored for social channels to drive audience

engagement and digital readership.

Data & Market Development

  • Collaborate closely with internal sales and editorial teams to clean, segment, and expand subscriber and attendee databases.
  • Conduct ongoing competitor research, market tracking, and industry trend analysis to refine future marketing strategies.
  • Monitor campaign metrics, analyse response rates, track engagement data, and report regularly to management.

Candidate Profile & Competencies

  • Background: B2B marketing, publishing, or event marketing experience, or an appropriate academic/practical skill set suitable for ambitious recent graduates.
  • Copywriting & Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven flair for crafting compelling marketing copy, email campaigns, and engaging social media posts.
  • Digital & Social Media: Deep understanding of organic social media management (especially LinkedIn), email marketing tools, and digital publishing metrics (Note: PPC and paid social management are not required for this role).
  • Organisational Skills: Exceptional ability to multi-task, manage competing priorities across 9 publications and multiple international events, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Analytical Mindset: Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills to evaluate email performance, database health, and campaign engagement.
  • Flexibility & Travel: Willingness and availability to travel internationally for on-site support at our events in Brussels and Singapore.
  • Education: A-level minimum requirement, preferably educated to degree level.

Remuneration, Location & Working Arrangements

  • Salary Range: Β£26,000 – Β£30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • Bonus: Discretionary bonus subject to event performance.
  • Working Arrangements: Based near Morden, South London. Hybrid working is possible, subject to successfully completing probation. Please note that full-time in-office presence may be required in the weeks leading up to major events.
