Do you take pride in keeping environments safe, clean and welcoming? We are looking for a reliable and proactive Facilities Assistant to join our dedicated site team at St Augustine Academy. This is a key role in ensuring our school community enjoys a safe, secure, and well-maintained environment.
About the Role
As a Facilities Assistant, you will support the daily operations of the school site, working under the direction of the Site Manager to ensure the Academy is safe, presentable, and ready to welcome students, staff, and visitors each day. You will:
- Help maintain site safety, cleanliness, and security, including unlocking/locking the premises
- Support with general maintenance tasks and minor repairs
- Assist with deliveries, portering, and furniture arrangements for Academy events
- Liaise with community users to ensure facilities meet their needs
- Respond to weather-related challenges such as clearing snow or ice from pathways
- Monitor heating, water and lighting systems and report any maintenance issues
- Help with site improvement projects such as decorating and minor refurbishments
- Ensure compliance checks are completed

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Amendment Order 1986 and, as such, it will be necessary for a Submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
