Wood Applied Intelligence (AI) is currently recruiting a Supply Chain Assistant to work within their Autonomous Solutions business area. The Supply Chain Assistant is responsible for gaining information to assist the purchasing of goods for multiple projects and to maintain stock levels of key items in the systems factory.
Responsibilities / Duties:
- Gain quotations for machined parts for multiple projects
- Progress purchased items to ensure on time delivery
- Report delivery status / delays to appropriate personnel
- Assist the Purchasing department by placing purchase orders when required
- Maintain stock levels of Stationary, PPE, and consumables
- Plan and book transport in line with Workshop Managers requirements
- Order tooling modifications as required
- Run Exchequer reports – to include but not limited to outstanding goods
- Prepare delivery notes and track POD
- Generate vendor performance data (Vendor Rating) for quality and delivery
- Assist Materials control function when required
- Comply with the company policy as defined in the Staff Handbook, Safety Manual, and Quality Assurance Manual
- Other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Purchasing Engineering component parts
- Knowledge of stores/logistics operations
- Knowledge of production management
- Knowledge of Exchequer
- Competent in Microsoft Office
