Remarkable people, trusted by clients to design and advance the world. Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Reliability Engineer to support our Operated Assets business within one of our client offices in Aberdeen on a staff basis.

Operated Assets sits with Wood’s Operations EMEA business and is based in Aberdeen. We build long-term strategic relationships with clients across each of our 4 sub-service lines: Decommissioning, Operations & Maintenance, Duty Holder and Optimised Energy. We project manage decommissioning scopes and provide skilled people offshore to help our clients get the best out of their assets and keep them ahead. We introduce the latest digital and decarb tools Wood has to offer, making sure we are continuously driving value for clients and keep making them smarter and faster.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and report on asset reliability and availability KPIs.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) of critical failures and recurring issues.
  • Recommend improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and improve performance.
  • Develop reliability models and support life-cycle cost analyses.
  • Provide input into spares optimisation, criticality assessments, and obsolescence management.

  • Minimum qualified to ISCED Level 5 (technical diploma/apprenticeship) or equivalent combination of qualifications and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Maintenance data builds and data optimisation projects.
  • Development and application of qualitative risk-based maintenance tools.
  • Maintenance, repairs, and spares strategy development.
  • Best practice in asset management through Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Project management experience (desired).

  • Intellectually capable, can apply maintenance consulting theory.
  • Diligent and dependable in consistent application of established process.
  • Professional demeanour with appropriate interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional written communication (technical report writing).
  • IT literate (Excel/Word).
