Remarkable people, trusted by clients to design and advance the world. Wood has an exciting opportunity to join our onshore team as HSE Focal point on our long-term Harbour Energy Contract. The HSE Focal point provides guidance and support to our E and C and O&M contracts which cover the Harbour offshore J-Area, GBA and Armanda, Everest and Lomond Assets. Reporting directly into the Contract Manager, and the Upstream HSE Team Lead, it is crucial to the role to pro-actively establish excellent, trusted working relationships with the Wood and client onshore and offshore teams. The role will be based in our Sir Ian Wood House Office in Altens, Aberdeen, with a hybrid working week (3 days per week minimum in the office), requiring occasional travel offshore and to our client’s office.
Our Upstream team will continue to play an important role in providing energy security. We design, engineer, build, operate and maintain the most complex assets in the world, in the harshest of environments, providing solutions across the asset life cycle from concept to decommissioning. At all levels our goal is the same: to provide our clients with complete assurance that their asset is in safe hands.

Qualifications:
- ONC/HNC or equivalent in Technical, HSE or related industry
- Degree in relevant technical, industry or HSEQ specific discipline
- NEBOSH Certificate/Diploma (essential)
- NVQ Level 4
- IOSH (desirable)
- Trained and competent Internal Auditor (essential)
- Trained and competent External Auditor (desirable)
- RCA – Accident/incident Investigator, Helix/Taproot (essential)
Knowledge, skills and experience:
- Experience in a technical role, or association with HSE role in another industry
- Lead/Senior HSE advisor experience with project/contract experience in O&G or other industry
- Excellent working knowledge with relevant legislation and regulations
- Good planning and organisational skills
- Effective/competent MS Office Suite User
- High level of communication skills in both written and spoken format
