Wood Process & Energy is looking for a Senior Cost Controller on a full time basis on a Permanent, PAYE or PSC contract. This role is based at our offices in Stockton-On-Tees.

The role involves the preparation and reporting of project cost budgets, and the tracking, management and reporting of project expenditure to enable robust control of projects throughout their lifecycle. Responsibilities include:

  • Development of project budgets, tracking of actual and forecasted costs, and generation of cost reports.
  • Management of project budgets, actual and forecast costs, and preparation and filing of project cost documentation.
  • Identifying areas of best practice and driving continuous improvement within the Cost team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Review and maintain Project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS).
  • Liaise with other Project Controls disciplines and functions.
  • Manage the project/assignment work approval process.
  • Monitor and control cost commitments and expenditures through all phases of project lifecycle.
  • Provide copies of project cost performance reports.
  • Attend project/client periodic meetings and present project cost performance status.
  • Facilitate the project cost close-out process.
  • Participate in cost & estimate risk analysis sessions.

Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

  • Excellent knowledge of cost software and related principles.
  • Understanding of WBS & CBS structures and project reporting capabilities.
  • Prior experience in a Senior Cost role.
