Wood is currently recruiting for a Static Equipment Lead (Discipline Construction Lead) on a contract basis. The role will be working at the Redcar site office on a World Class energy transition project for around 12 months.
As the Static Equipment Lead (Discipline Construction Lead), you will be responsible for overseeing all static equipment construction activities executed by the EPC and PCC Contractors. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Health and Safety
- Industrial Relations
- Quality
- Constructability Readiness
- Installation, setting, installation of internals and pre‑commissioning of static mechanical equipment
- Mechanical completion and handover
- Equipment cleanliness, preservation, and readiness for commissioning
- Installation, testing, and pre-commissioning of piping systems
- Mechanical completion and handover
- Leadership of client standards for build it right and build it clean
- Oversight of all static equipment installation and hook‑up
- Ensuring compliance with client specifications, project specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements
The role will involve close coordination with engineering teams, contractors, and vendors to deliver the static equipment scope through installation, mechanical completion, and handover. It will initially be based on Teesside between the Wilton Centre and the site offices, transitioning to a full-time site role. You will also be expected to conduct occasional travel to contractor's design offices in Paris and potential fabrication facilities in the UK and overseas. It will be a full-time site-based role in Teesside with a Mon-Fri site working pattern overseeing all construction areas on the project.
