Wood Transmission & Distribution Ltd UK is looking for a Proposals Administrator, established or first appointment to join their team. The role focuses on managing bid documentation and tender administration to obtain contracts with prestigious clients in England and Wales. You will be responsible for developing bid documentation and tenders, from receipt of client information through to contract award, and for supporting the production of winning bids.
Responsibilities
- Proposal development
- Scheduling required meetings, e.g. bid kick-off
- Work with a range of functions to assist preparation of winning proposals
- Liaise with clients to obtain information and raise tender questions
- Arrange site visits/client meetings
- Assist in the preparation of client presentations
- Organising documents and proposal files
- New bid setup, including CRM record creation, document management and bid/no bid process
- Support submission of proposals to deadlines and manage end-to-end process for allocated bids
- Develop and maintain a library of proposal content for quick, efficient and accurate retrieval of information
Location and working arrangements: Ideally based out of our Darlington office with hybrid working; you will work from home and must be able to commute to the local office on a hybrid basis.

- Proposals administration experience preferred but not essential
- Demonstrated administrative experience in a business environment is necessary; training can be provided for the right candidate
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat and SharePoint
- Demonstrated attention to detail skills are essential or proven proofreading and editing skills are desirable with the ability to ensure proposals, presentations and other customer responses are of high quality
- Demonstrated effective communication skills (written and verbal)
- Effective organisation, coordination, problem solving and multi-tasking skills
- Confident and capable of dealing with colleagues from all business functions
- Resilient nature with an approachable, flexible and dedicated approach to work
- Self-initiative with the ability to prioritise multiple conflicting tasks, while applying mandatory defined processes
- Educated to minimum GCSE or equivalent (English and Maths – grade 4/C) are essential
