Control and Instrument engineering role to replace legacy and obsolete equipment within the Honeywell Integrated Control & Safety System on BP’s Clair platform. Act as the UK focal point for the Control/Instrument engineering team based in India.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all procurement activities on Honeywell and non-Honeywell scopes (inter panel cabling etc).
  • Provide support for FSA and CHAZOP activities in coordination with the client.
  • Liaise closely with the client Operations and Project teams including office visits.
  • Liaise closely with Honeywell and all identified 3rd parties including office visits.
  • Liaise closely with other disciplines, Construction and Commissioning.
  • Organise, plan and coordinate own work as well as the resources assigned on the project.
  • Execute assigned work in accordance with applicable contract procedures, client and project standards.
  • Originate, check and approve all associated deliverables as required within budget and schedule.

Qualifications and Experience

  • ISCED Level 6 Bachelors (minimum) or Level 7 Masters (preferred) Degree in engineering discipline, alternatively, tertiary level education combined with suitable industry experience can be used to demonstrate equivalence.
  • Chartership, PE Status or relevant professional license/registration accredited by a recognized body preferred.
  • Technically competent in own discipline, pursues continuous professional development of skills and knowledge according to standards.
  • Professional level of knowledge of relevant regulatory framework and legislation.
  • Ability to supervise, manage, motivate and mentor technical professionals.
  • Multi-discipline knowledge, knowledge of advanced principles and techniques of engineering as well as quality management standards and practices required.
  • Recognized as a technical expert with ability to develop and mentor more junior staff.
  • Ability to execute and oversee project scope, budget and schedule.
  • Consistently demonstrates creativity and innovation in finding solutions and alternatives to address complex client requirements.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for inter-departmental and external company interactions.
  • Agile, with ability to adapt and troubleshoot solutions.
  • Ability to broadly interpret principles, theories, and concepts of an engineering specialty.
  • Possess a good knowledge of the various Business Units, Functions, Sectors and services offered within business area, a general understanding of other Wood business offerings and some ability to network and connect internal stakeholders.
