Wood is currently recruiting for a Principal Electrical Engineer (contract) to work in our Reading office. The role will be on a full-time basis working on our Client's Middle Eastern Oil & Gas project. As a Principal Electrical Engineer, you will be involved in electrical activities related to this Detailed Engineering scope of work. You will ensure the work complies with design standards and codes while coordinating with the rest of the project engineering teams. You should utilize your extensive experience in FEED and EPC projects within the Oil & Gas Industry to review and deliver design packages, supported by your knowledge of power systems and digital control systems.

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a BA in Science with a focus on Electrical Engineering
- Extensive experience in design, engineering, and construction
- FEED project experience is mandatory
- Familiarity with NEC, IEEE/ANSI, IEC, and other international electrical standards and best practices
- Knowledge of analogue and digital control systems, including Power System Automation (PSA), DCS, PLC, and SCADA controls
- Proficiency in English for analysis, presentations, and technical updates
- Experience with ETAP or similar software and Microsoft Office suite
