Due to our rapid growth at Transmission & Distribution Ltd, we’re looking to recruit an experienced Overhead Lines Construction Manager (Access and Enabling Works) to meet our increasing project demands, with a site-based role in the Argyll area that may require travel across Scotland.

This opportunity is a site-based position, supporting various OHL frameworks for different clients. You will need to be flexible in your work location, as you will be away from home for periods and will travel across Scotland. Don\’t miss this exciting opportunity to join our growing team!

The Role

Supporting the Project Manager and Senior Construction Manager, you will supervise and deliver key packages of overhead lines (OHL) construction projects, specifically access and enabling works. You will assist in producing construction plans, coordinate the engineering support team, and be responsible for procurement of materials and subcontracts. You should have experience managing sites and field staff on OHL projects and civil works, with technical knowledge of OHL installation methods and safety standards. Experience with distribution network operators is essential.

Minimum requirements include:

  • ISCED Level 5 qualification or equivalent
  • Experience managing sites and staff on OHL projects and civil works
  • Expertise in OHL installation methods and safety
  • Experience with distribution network operators
  • Ability to meet project schedules, manage resources and materials
  • Experience supervising engineering teams through all project phases
  • Knowledge of street works and permit requirements
  • Safety training certifications (SSSTS, NEBOSH or IOSH)
  • Recognized safety qualification and UK driving license
