Wood is recruiting an Oracle Technical Architect to provide support and development for an established Oracle EBS implementation.

The Role

  • Support and optimise the Oracle EBS system to ensure business activities can progress without interruption.
  • Maintain system stability, performance and reliability.
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues raised by the support team or business users.
  • Carry out regular maintenance activities to ensure system performance and uptime are maintained.
  • Document change activities, procedures, and significant problem investigations to support knowledge sharing and operational efficiency.
  • Analyse the ERP system, including integrations and reporting outputs, to identify and deliver enhancements that improve performance, uptime, error tracking, maintainability, and overall system resilience.
  • Collaborate closely with reporting teams to support SQL development and improve data extraction and reporting capabilities.
  • Work with business stakeholders to gather and understand requirements, translating these into technical solutions for customisations and integrations.
  • Ensure successful delivery of changes from design through to implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the business to gather requirements for change requests.
  • Support and develop enhancements, extensions and integrations.
  • Analyse and investigate problems to provide break fixes.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.

Project Support

  • Analyse impact of required changes.
  • Implement or modify customisations, extensions and integrations.
  • Provide technical support for projects through testing to go-live.

Qualifications

Expected

  • University degree or technical diploma in computer science or another technical field.
  • Extensive experience in a technology/functional role supporting or implementing Oracle EBS.
  • Experience with Oracle Business Applications in E-Business Suite.
  • Experience with Oracle Application Modules in Projects, Finance and Supply Chain.
  • Professional skills in SQL, PL/SQL and UNIX scripting.

Desirable

  • Oracle Business Applications Experience in Cloud Fusion.
  • Oracle Application Modules Experience in Time and Labour.
  • Skills in Oracle WebADI, OAF, JDeveloper, Oracle Workflow Builder, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports.
