Wood is recruiting an Offshore Fabric Maintenance Lead on a fixed term basis for our client based in the North Sea. This is on a 2*2 rotation from Aberdeen. The fixed term duration is expected to be 4-5 years.
Responsibilities
- Actively manage the Fabric Maintenance scope of work offshore and drive maximum efficiency during execution.
- Identify opportunities to maximise efficiencies of existing infrastructure, i.e., scope location, scope grouping, scaffolding erected, ropes rigged, or habitat build.
- Offers independence from the incumbent Fabric Maintenance contractor, scoping, execution man hours, scope visibility, QA/QC, m2 completed, non-productive time.
- Actively work with Offshore Inspection Engineer to ensure all release notes are available in due time for upcoming scopes.
- Support any execution cost initiatives such as coating and surface preparation selection and act accordingly to deliver execution scopes within allocated timeframe and budget.
- Conduct Baseline Fabric Maintenance, Corrosion Under Insulation & Passive Fire protection surveys as requested and feed this data into the Fabric Maintenance database.
- Routine inspection of works in progress to ensure compliance with work scope specific requirements.
- Proactive approach to resolving quality control issues and issues on Non-Conformance reports.
- Identify waste (materials, redundant equipment, etc.) and act to eliminate it immediately.
- Audit and verify all recorded achieved meterage issued by execution contractor and report through daily report.
- Provide coating and insulation specification guidance, what is required where to maximise delivery efficiency and when required support the deviation from procedure template.
- Offers a consistent independent position during contract change.
Qualifications
- NACE level 3 coating Inspector certification (NACE CIP Level 2 is acceptable, under evidence of desire to reach level 3 certification).
- Strong Leadership and Communication skills demonstrated from previous jobs.
- Significant experience of Corrosion Under Insulation, passive fire protection and access activities in an offshore/industrial environment.
- Demonstrable sound project management skills and experience. (APM Project Management Qualification would be beneficial but not essential)
- ICorr Level 2 Insulation Inspector and ICorr Level 3 PFP Inspector are preferred.
- Demonstrable attitude towards safety and compliance with process Safety Fundamentals and Stop Work Authority and business principles.
- Must be SAP proficient in raising notifications, work preparation, scheduling and defining CMPT ranking.
- Demonstrable experience of managing Fabric Maintenance campaigns where there has been upwards of 20 Personnel.
