Wood has an exciting opportunity for a Reward Manager to join the Reward & Mobility team to manage the delivery of projects, frameworks, programs, standards and improvements across the Asia Pacific, Middle East, Africa & Caspian, and UK & Europe regions to support our long‑term strategic delivery. Reporting to the Vice President of Total Reward, the position will influence and contribute to the formation of strategy, policy design and organisation‑wide frameworks ensuring alignment with regional priorities and the total reward approach. Position may be based at any UK office or remote (hybrid or fully remote).
Role Responsibilities
- Design and governance of compensation and benefits plans across the EMEA and APAC regions.
- Ensure benefit compliance with local regulations and company policies.
- Ensure regional pay transparency and other regulatory compliance obligations.
- Stewardship of employee benefit renewals: working with external vendors and partners to manage each country’s renewal and gain internal stakeholder buy‑in and approval.
- Support the development and implementation of new compensation and benefits initiatives and programmes aligned with company objectives.
- Benchmark and participate in compensation and benefits surveys to maintain competitiveness.
- Contribute to regional and global reward projects, supporting implementation, stakeholder coordination and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide business partnering, insights and recommendations to leaders, HR teams and employees to guide decision‑making.
- Lead the global reward strategy to align with business requirements, legislation and market trends.
- Manage key vendor relationships, monitor program outcomes and recommend improvements.
- Identify and address potential risks in reward practices and guide the development of reward initiatives aligned with business needs.
- Prioritise employee engagement through transparent communication and collaboration with HR, finance and leadership.
Qualifications
- Degree level qualification and a specific reward qualification with significant relevant experience.
- Experience of broad reward practices in global organisations and ability to interpret and align strategy.
- Hands‑on experience leading benefits renewals across relevant regions, with involvement in salary band design and market salary survey analysis.
- Ability to plan and manage work of others to deliver objectives using internal resources.
- Proven experience developing and implementing global job architecture/models in a complex organisation.
- Awareness of regional employment law and government legislation.
- External global benchmarking experience and ability to develop best‑fit solutions based on market data.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication with excellent report‑writing skills.
- Ability to build, motivate, develop and manage an effective small team of reward professionals.
- Experience negotiating with external providers to achieve cost efficiencies.
