Wood has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Material Management Systems Administrator to join us on a permanent basis. This role requires extensive experience in administering Aveva ERM and involves supporting work processes related to the end-to-end lifecycle management of materials in the execution of EPC projects across the EMEA region.
The Lead Material Management Systems Administrator will act as the focal point for the Materials Management System (MMS) in the region. You will engage with stakeholders to ensure the successful rollout of the materials lifecycle management system and associated processes, ensuring the MMS is set up according to the Client’s and Contract / Project’s requirements, and provide guidance on system usage in line with the Business Unit’s needs. You will support various functions (Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Construction) in the correct use of the MMS during project execution and be responsible for assessing upcoming MMS software versions and enhancements, liaising with the software vendor for necessary updates. You will collaborate with the Information Management team on development activities including system interfaces and reports. You will prepare documentation related to MMS administration, including training materials, procedures, and guides.
Expected qualifications and experience:
- Experience in material management lifecycle activities for EPC contracts
- Extensive experience with Aveva ERM
- Deep technical knowledge of project materials, codes & standards, and client requirements
- Experience managing electronic data activities
- Designing and implementing systems for project materials data management
- High computer proficiency, including SQL query development, LUA programming, advanced Excel skills
- Experience with proprietary or in-house materials management software
- Strong understanding of 2D/3D CAD systems supporting MMS
- Knowledge of how Pipe Classes and commodity codes/part numbers relate to 3D CAD and plant design
- Comprehensive understanding of all stages of the material management lifecycle, including Material Take-offs, Requisitioning, Tendering, Purchasing, Expediting, Inspection, Material Allocation, Shipping, Surplus Management
- Proficiency in writing SQL queries for report development within MMS
