Wood are looking for an Intermediate Draughtsperson to provide expertise in documentation updates using various CAD / Raster editing packages, assisting in creating mark‑ups, checking and approving documentation and ensuring adherence to all relevant standards, processes and procedures. The role requires a high level of organization and attention to detail to enable the Drawing Office to continue to deliver quality service.

Responsibilities

  • Create and update documentation as required in line with client engineering requirements.
  • Utilise 2D & 3D software packages to update and create 2D documentation, 3D designs, models and digital twins, perform clash detection and intelligent documentation.
  • Provide QA checking and approval of documentation produced by ODC colleagues.
  • Review customer modification work packs to ensure technical and construction information is correct.
  • Locate associated documentation and review the impact of modifications, providing red‑lined mark‑ups for ODC colleagues.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to ODC colleagues as required.
  • Lead or assist in site surveys utilizing digital technology such as laser scanning.
  • Lead or assist in managing discrete scopes of work.
  • Manage own workload to ensure timely delivery to clients.
  • Lead or attend client meetings as required.
  • Continuously review software, technology and current processes to offer innovative solutions.
  • Ensure client satisfaction is maintained and exceeded.
  • Report to and support the Technical Lead as required.
  • Assist in the creation of Cost, Time & Resource estimates.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the company’s safety and quality culture.
  • Promote Wood’s core values.
