Wood is currently recruiting for an Integrity Engineer to provide integrity engineering consultancy services to the Wood client base covering sub-sea facilities, pipelines, risers, topsides and onshore plant. Wood has a number of offices located throughout the UK and flexibility in working location is offered, with hybrid office/home working and remote working solutions available. The role may require infrequent site/offshore visits.
Typical workscopes included within the remit of the Integrity Engineer are:
- Assessing the results of survey, inspection, testing and monitoring activities and making recommendations to ensure continuing fitness for service
- Anomaly management
- Undertaking Risk Based Inspection Assessments
- Undertaking Fitness for Service assessments
- Providing technical assessment and interpretation of corrosion/inspection monitoring data
- Developing asset integrity management documentation
- Developing written schemes of examination
- Developing inspection workpacks
The Technical / Business Skills required are:
- An ability to demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of and be able to use applicable national and international standards in the integrity or related fields
- Provide integrity engineering expertise based upon knowledge of mechanical engineering practices, asset operating environments/processes and the likelihood of failure and associated consequences for a variety of Energy Industry assets
- Familiar with QA/QC systems/procedures and NDE techniques
- Writing and checking of technical reports and specifications
- Competent user of Microsoft Office software
- Good communicator both written and verbal (fluent in English)
- Team player with good interpersonal skills and an ability to relate to those in a wide range of organisation positions
- Capacity to understand complex problems and work collaboratively to identify practical and technically sound solutions
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic and committed to delivering first class integrity engineering services
- Proactively initiates continuous improvements to processes and seeks to eliminate waste and inefficiency
- Ensures the effective application of innovative engineering applications and specialist technologies
Experience required is as follows:
- Strong relevant experience (Essential)
Educational requirements:
- Degree in Engineering (Essential), Mechanical Engineering preferred
- Post-graduate qualification (Desirable)
- Chartered Engineer or working towards (Desirable)
- Appreciation of / Certified in PSSR, API 580, API 510, API 570, API 579, ASME Plant Inspection (Desirable)
