Wood is currently recruiting for a People & Organisation (P&O) Advisor on a fixed-term contract for 3 months. The successful candidate will need to have previous experience dealing with absence management. The P&O Advisor will ensure a positive customer experience and take accountability for managing queries effectively and closing out each in a timely manner. The role holder will be required to work autonomously with the assigned task and liaise with the business as required regarding details. Work will be delivered in accordance with functional process, policy and guidelines.
In particular, the role will ensure all tasks associated with Wood’s Absence/Health Surveillance team are carried out timely and to a high standard:
- Assists Team Lead with specific work activities
- Supports Employees through Sickness Absence
- Pro-actively case manage more complex absence management cases
- Supports Business Partners with absence/duties
- Provides reporting and active case management support to Business Partners
- Validates absence data including matching absence reports to Timewriting and vice versa
- Engages with employees to ensure that documentation required for the recording and reporting of absence is received and filed in the absence recording system
- Supports the delivery of site medicals and Occupational Health site visits
- Supports employees with relevant queries with regard to sickness absence
- Supports move toward UK Shared Service Business Model
Qualifications:
- Good standard of education – HR or business related qualification preferred
- Strong administrative skills
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Previous experience within an Occupational Health environment would be advantageous
- Experience of supporting the achievement of performance targets
