Wood is recruiting for a Lead Planner to support across a portfolio of high-profile projects for our Consulting Business Unit. This role will be based in our Staines office with hybrid working available.

The Role

The Lead Planner will be accountable for the development of project schedules and plans, ensuring they are prepared to the required level of detail and accuracy and in accordance with contractual requirements and Wood policies, procedures, and standards. As the Lead Planner, you will be responsible for delivering appropriately detailed and robust project schedules based on the Control Estimate and incorporating any agreed changes, preparing weekly short-term lookaheads for each discipline to ensure effective planning and execution. In addition, you will be required to generate schedules in support of proposals often against tight deadlines.

Skills And Qualifications

Expected:

  • Typically requires ISCED level 6 (Bachelors) Degree in a relevant technical or business discipline (or equivalent gained through relevant vocational training and/or industry experience).
  • Strong understanding of Cost Management, Change Control, Planning & Risk Analysis & Management.
  • Significant prior experience in a senior planning role.
  • Advanced knowledge of Primavera and other scheduling software and related tools and techniques including Logic and CPM analysis, resource loading and levelling.
  • Advanced knowledge of Project Execution Procedures for Scheduling.
  • Understands Cost Management.
  • Capability to effectively manage planning across a Framework.
  • Drive standardisation, consistency, best practice to achieve performance excellence.
